Summary:: I live in California and purchased a Grand Cedar Pavilion kit from Pergola Kits USA in mid-2019.
Summary:: I had done quite a bit of research involving kits and this one seemed to be at least as good if not better than the competitors and the price was much more attractive.
Summary:: In planning for the pavilion I first assumed that the kits had to be purchased in whole foot dimensions but found out the Pergola Kits offered custom sizes down to a 1/4 without charge."
Summary:: I also found that I could change the roof pitch and eliminate side posts, also without charge. (I did all of the above.) During my research, I emailed questions to the representative, Fred, about 20-25 times.
Summary:: Fred always got back to me very quickly, usually the same day.
Summary:: After a few months of planning a very large and complicated backyard pavilion and relandscape (patio cover and landscaping demo, stamped concrete, outdoor shower, BBQ island, spa, fire pit, sound system, lighting, fans, irrigation and plantings,
Summary:: outdoor furniture, etc.), I ordered the pavilion.
Summary:: The materials arrived and as I started going through the pieces and moving them to the backyard, I could see that the cedar was very high quality, with very few unobtrusive knots, that almost looked as if it was clear timber (no knots).
Summary:: I hired a retired carpenter to help me build the kit. The weight of some of the timber was very heavy and somewhat difficult for two of us to get into place. The pavilion is quite large (21' X 29' approx.
Summary:: ) and I would recommend four people to build such a size. However, the two of us were able to do most of it in just over 40 hours, and I finished the shingling and odds and ends on my own, probably another 15 hours or so.
Summary:: As I said above, the cedar is very high quality, but also I found that the precision in the cutting of the pieces was extraordinary. It fit together like a kids set of lincoln logs.
Summary:: The quality of the kit, however, was equalled by the service that I received from Fred. He was top notch. He handled every question I had and made sure everything was exactly right.
Summary:: He also put me in touch on a couple of occasions with the gentlemen who actually cut the timber and prepared the kits and I found that they were Amish. That explained a lot about the quality and precision of the kits.
Summary:: My beliefs regarding the quality of the kit was confirmed by every sub contractor who assisted along the way (electrician, BBQ island contractor, landscaper, sound system installer, carpenter, stone mason, etc.
Summary:: ), who all said they have never seen a nicer, better constructed pavilion in all of their professional encounters.
Summary:: As we only finished the project in early 2020, unfortunately during Covid only a few family members and friends have seen the final result, but those that have have been amazed.
Summary:: Wow!," "Oh my god!," "Unbelievable!," "This is like a 5-star resort!," are just a few of he comments. In short, the pavilion turned out nicer than I could have ever imagined and the service was better than any service I can ever remember."

25 X 16 Serenity

We researched Pergola kits and pre- built structures for a full year before deciding on Pergola Kits USA. From our first inquiry to the final delivery, we couldn't have been happier. Fred was so patient and informative with all of our questions. We were building a large structure and had many questions. Fred was so helpful and knowledgeable every step of the way.

Our finished pergola is absolutely beautiful. The delivery and craftsmanship of the product was perfect. My husband built the unit by himself in a litle over 2 days. Our unit was 25 X 16 and went up without a hitch. The attention to detail was evident as he assembled the Pergola.

We have received many comments from friends,family and neighbors on how beautiful the Pergola looks on our patio. It is not only functional for providing shade, but it is a beutiful addition to our home. The quality of the product and the beautiful mahogany finish is perfect.

Delivery and Assembly Comments:

we live on a dead end street that is off of another dead end street, so we were initially concerned about the delivery of the pergola. Fred assured us that we wouldn't have a problem. The delivery man phoned us the morning of the delivery with updates on time. The delivery was not only on time, but was completed in less than 20 minutes. The product was packaged properly, water tight and without any missing parts or pieced.

My husband has been a tradesman carpenter for 40 years and said the kit was so well put together and thought out that it practically built itself. We couldn't be happier!

14x18 cedar

Product itself gets a 5 star rating our pergola came exactly as ordered, was so simple to put together. Highly recommend this company fr their pergolas. I would certainly use them again. Fred was great in helping with and understanding our design and needs. Looks beautiful and fully assembled in a weekend.

Only thing keeping from 5 stars (would give 4.5 if | could) was that there seemed to be a lack of communication between customer service, production, shipping..Could never get a straight answer on when it would ship (as we approached the week it was supposed to ship and then when cs gave me a date it showed up two days early...just wasn't quite prepared but again not the end of the world....again highly recommend company and their products!

Grand Pavilion

This is truly a structure of commercial quality. We have the Grand Pavillion. Heavy construction and went together according to the plans. I erected this kit alone with the use of an all terrain telescopic fork lift.

I purchased the stainless steel Hardware kit am glad I did, no staining from rust of any kind. Very impressed with the physical size of the timbers and have no doubt this will last a lifetime. Friends and family can't believe the size and quality. This is not your typical kit this is an investment. I would recommend this model made to my specifications to anyone interested in a premium quality heavy construction kit. You will be impressed and proud to add this to your home.

Delivery and Assembly Comments:

Only problem I've had is birds want to build nests in it in the spring had to install bird spikes to keep them out. This will add value to your home and just makes for a great outdoor space. Can't say enough about how much we like it!

quality product

Quality product and beautifully designed. We purchased this pergola 15 months ago. We live in the hot, humid Florida climate and it has maintained fine. If you're looking for the perfect outdoor sitting area that is both pleasing to the eye And quality materials, then this product is that. We have been very pleased and get many compliments.
