    Very nice pavilion. I receive many compliments on the white vinyl cladding and metal roof. I would definitely purchase again should that opportunity present. The sales staff went beyond great."
    Every call was answered immediately (no "you are call number 75") and all questions answered. Delivery exceeded expectations."
    They kept me informed, delivered on time, and placed the item where it needed to be placed, As a serious comment to set expectations, my 10' x 10' pavilion with metal roof took five people to install over the course of an entire day.
    I don't think hoisting up the heavy roof panels can be done with only four workers. Those doing the assembly need to understand how to keep the framework true" as the posts and beams are being assembled."
    This is not a diy projects with friends and family.

    We love our pergola -- it makes the whole yard special. Assembly was easy, quality is great, and it looks so beautiful. We planted clematis at the posts and strung outdoor lights from the runners.
    It's now the focal point of the whole yard and we have frequent family meals under it.

    We are very pleased with our pergola. It looks great and the charcoal color is a nice contrast to the gray and white house. Delivery was on time, and the driver was very careful about stacking it properly.
    Not bad to assemble with 2 guys handy, especially given that is 22x20. Instructions could have been a little more detailed is spots, but we figured it out.
    Only complaint is that some of the 2x2 runners were quite twisted, so we had to man-handle them a bit to get them screwed down on the lines. Also had to widen a few of the notches where they didn't quite line up.
    Lots of good comments from family who have seen it. Amos (sales person) was great, and answered a lot of questions I had (being a detail guy). He also made changes I asked for very quickly and confirmed everything by e-mail.

    Had a great experience with Pergola Kits USA. These pergolas are extremely solid and well built, which is great as ours is at the Jersey Shore where the wind and salt air can be harsh.
    We have gotten so many compliments on the pergola from friends and neighbors as it added a cozy environment to our small backyard. We added lights which gives it great ambience.
    We ordered with a canopy which we love - one tip is that you should use a little WD40 on a regular basis to make it easy to open and close. Amos and team were very responsive during the ordering process, all went smoothly.
    We did need 3 people to put it together as some of the beams were quite heavy, so keep that in mind.

    I purchased our pergola as a birthday gift for my wife. She is beyond thrilled about the end product. The entire process was a fun adventure. The driver, Jimmy, who delivered our kit, was prompt and professional.

    The pergola was delivered in a very nice compact package. The assembly was accomplished without a hitch as instructions were very good. The footings were in place before delivery, dimensions were as per the drawing.
    It is very nice to sit under the pergola with hanging plants and other niceties.
    Why is it better than an uncovered patio? I don't know, but it is!

    Amos was fantastic. He was thorough and very patient. Ordering was easy with a 12-week lead time, which thankfully was our saving grace. Two weeks after placing the pergola order we realized that our 14' custom kitchen island was actually 15'.
    Normally getting one extra foot free is great but it meant the end posts would have to in the island, and due to the width, meant a possible set of extra posts in the middle of the Island.
    Panicked, I called Amos who was fantastic and worked with us to get the exact measurements to avoid the middle posts.
    The cedar quality was good although I expected it to be beefier, easy assembly (3 people) and it comes with 4 pieces of wood to build a box to help keep your pergola square.
    I ordered the electrical box (EB) which came affixed to a flat grooved (to hide wiring) piece of cedar to run 120V for pendant lights. We screwed the post into 2' concrete footers covered with pavers so its quite sturdy.
    We are quite happy with our purchase!

    The pergola was easy to install, two novices put it up in 6 hours, including footing work a day before we put it up. Instructions and the frame boards to keep it square were very helpful.
    The paint color matched what was intended and the finished product looks great in our backyard and adds functionality to our patio we didn't have before.

    I purchased my 14 x 14 pavilion in the summer of 2021.
    It was a wonderful experience working with this team of professionals! I live in Montana,
    so it was quite a feat getting it all the way to my home! Everyone took the time to make sure that everything was correct and to my liking before it was shipped, down to every detail.
    Since it arrived in the fall, we decided to wait to put it together in the spring. We had a contractor construct it for us, and assembly went very well. They were quite impressed with the quality of it.
    We will get many years of enjoyment out of it! We love it! This company is top notch!

    The pergola was perfectly crafted and went up to perfect square and balance. We got extra stain and the wood has preserved nicely. It has provided nice shade with the addition of a shade sale underneath and curtains in our windy back pool deck

    I chose the fiberglass version because I wanted the lifetime warranty offered. I worked very closely with Fred along the way and he was great.
    He helped me select all of the aspects that I wanted and even helped with the special foundation that we needed down here in New Orleans because our soil is so bad.
    The kit arrived quicker than I thought and my contractor used the easy to follow step by step directions and was able to erect in only one day.
    It is absolutely beautiful and is the focal piece of my complete renovation of my backyard which we turned into a New Orleans French Quarter courtyard. I have received many compliments on it from friends and relatives.
    If you're in the market for a pergola, I HIGHLY recommend dealing with Pergola kits USA and particularly Fred.

    Our pergola has been up for over a year now. It was a large project utilizing the all fiberglass material factory painted. We also purchased the sun screen kit. While not cheap, the materials are first rate and the paint job was excellent.
    We had to use the heavy steel posts inside the fiberglass columns which take more time to level and manage, but again, that's the trade off for having a large project with only four columns instead of six or eight.
    Overall, we are very happy with the product and how things turned out!

    It was challenging getting the correct parts to have it installed. An additional shipment had to be sent and next got delayed by several months. The PergolaKitUSA team was very helpful and worked hard to resolve the issues we faced.
    The pergola looks very nice, endured a snowy winter with no signs of wear and tear.

    I was planning to buy the grand pavilion, and have spoken to Suzanne Miller, although the price is beyond my budget, I agreed because of the reviews I have read, and of course,
    all my questions being answered by Suzanne like I let her explain to me what is meant by gable roof. Suzanne Miller was the salesperson who guided me along the way, telling me that I may need a city permit.
    So, that made me stop and I went to the city who just basically told me, I cant build, because i already met the zoning requirement and I cant build another one with a roof.
    My excitement that I will be able to build this from you guys just went crushed by the city. I called Suzanne to tell her about the bad news and of course, she too was devastated.
    But of all the bad news, I am now getting the refund that I paid that I was not expecting.
    To me, $250.00 is a lot of money, that some companies will refuse to refund their customers, but dealing with such a kind hearted person, makes you believe in service excellence.
    More power to you Suzanne MIller!

    Awesome experience working with such a great company. They helped get the right size and the drawings were perfect that they sent. When the gentleman delivered the Pergola he communicated with us the whole time until he delivered it.
    When installing we had a little trouble and had to call for assistance, they were so helpful and patient explaining to us what to do so that we could get our Pergola installed correctly. Everything went so smooth and now we love our pergola.
    100% would choose them again.

    The personnel are great, particularly sales and engineer. While I am somewhat happy with overall look, I am dissatisfied with finished quality.
    I am not satisfied with shop for cutting quality, nor quality of very expensive wood upgrade to smooth cedar. I wish I went with much cheaper pine, and painted the pergola. Beams had massively long up to 8 feet, splits up to 3/8ths wide.
    I blame this on way shop screwed the beams together, without proper gluing, proper glue would have prevented cracking.
    While I expect kiln drying at this level of expense in wood, I feel the wood was very over dried at the kiln, making many parts very brittle.
    Problems started with first delivery, the wood was waterlogged from trip on back of semi in the open, and while covered on top, the bottom was open to elements as truck drove across country,
    then they broke down and took two more weeks with wood stewing in water, swelling, then shrinking and cracking. The engineered posts, which should not ever crack, have 1/4 inch cracks.
    Also, shipment missing many structural screws, other parts to build, in other words, no real QC.
    Insult to injury, they shipped twice the amount of steel roof panels, costing me thousands in excess material I will repurpose, but a cost I did not need. Company very quick to agree to send new parts, which only took a month.
    Then when that arrived, the beams were notched in wrong spot by 3 inches, they needed to send another set. Thats when communication broke down, and it took another two months to finally get the parts I needed.
    I even asked them to send them unotched to save time, and I would notch them (no small feat), but that seemed to increase delay in shipping.
    During construction, I used all the tools to ensure plumb, squared, etc, I was within 1/16th on all sides for the framing.
    Yet, the rafters were in some cases cut 1 inch off proper dimension, requiring me to recut 14 out of 16 rafters to fit properly, but that reduced my roof size by 10sq/ft.
    Side beams required me to recut to plumb, losing another 5sq/ft of roof so braces would line up and be flush. Overall, I'm conflicted, but would recommend their product as long as you do not upgrade the wood and plan to paint yourself.

    We have been extremely happy with our pavilion. Our builder was impressed with how complete the kit was and how well the parts fit together. Everyone who comes to visit simply loves it.
    We installed a large fan in it and we find it to be much cooler even on hot days. It has been a great addition to our property and perfect next to the pool.
    We have seen a few splits and we had a few of the timbers with some burns, but we placed them on the back side. But everything else has been spot on. I would say the company acted very professionally as well.
    If you really wants some mileage, add an outdoor fireplace, outdoor tv, and comfortable furniture.

    Great pergola kit and successful install. No major issues with product or delivery (long lead time due to supply limitations).
    Recommend J-bolts into the concrete footers for extra security (rather than setting the concrete then drilling in the supplied anchors). Overall the team was responsive to work with on our order.

    Good kit. After digging and pouring concrete footings (which was the hard part), the erection of the pergola was fast and reasonably easy. Looks good and I am very satisfied even after 9 months.

    I'm not easily impressed, and was probably one of Fred's tougher costumers. Fred, and his team, stayed in touch with me from the very beginning when I contacted Pergola USA until after the installation was completed.
    I had a few issues I asked Fred to address after the installation was completed (I was working that day and could have probably addressed them with the installation team) Fred contacted me immediately and assured me he would take care of them.
    And he did. Fred is the kind of Man that stands behind his word. Something that, unfortunately, is becoming a rare commodity in today's world.
    I strongly recommend Fred, and Pergola USA, if you are considering a pergola or any other product Pergola USA is offering.

    What worked: our pergola went together very easily. Everything was laid out so putting it together was not hard at all for our contractor. The instructions are very clear with good photos. What didn't work: Our pergola arrive without notice.
    It was lucky I was home. The kit was crated using narrow banding which cut into some of the pieces, leaving gouges. We ordered our Pergola in Rustic Cedar, but if arrived stained in the red Cedar color.

    Product itself gets a 5 star rating our pergola came exactly as ordered, was so simple to put together. Highly recommend this company fr their pergolas. I would certainly use them again.
    Fred was great in helping with and understanding our design and needs. Looks beautiful and fully assembled in a weekend.
    Only thing keeping from 5 stars (would give 4.5 if I could) was that there seemed to be a lack of communication between customer service, production, shipping...
    Could never get a straight answer on when it would ship (as we approached the week it was supposed to ship and then when cs gave me a date it showed up two days early...just wasn't quite prepared but again not the end of the world....
    again highly recommend company and their products!

    easy off load. 1 pallet. no equipment required. Me and my wife set up the entire unit. Used and material lift to install the bigger timbers. Used a scissor lift to install the rafters. Friends help install the roof.
    Install 1/2 OSB of the roof material to insure that the shingles install nails not penetrate the decking. Took our time the unit went together easy. Now installing lighting."
    It take a little knowledge to install but easy if you think and do a little measuring

    It's a beautiful kit and it comes with everything you need to build it. No missing parts. I had a carpenter put it together. It does take some expertise so this isn't really for the novice.
    One important improvement: Pergola Kits USA needs communicate better. I had to contact them about updates. They did not contact me about delays. The delays are understandable, of course, because of the pandemic, but not the lack of communication.

    Wood came in pretty decent packing but there were gouges in several of the pieces from shipping. Overall the kit was fairly easy to put together. Some of the instructions could be a little more detailed.
    Also, it seemed like the wood was cut before it dried as several pieces warped and cracked severely making them difficult to align and install.

    Won't install until after holidays due to contractor delay. Appreciate all of your efforts to get it to us for original contractor start date.

    I'll start with that the pergola I purchased is of very good materials and craftsmanship. The delivery had no problems the driver of the shop truck was very good and very helpful.
    The main issue I had was it took longer than than I thought it should but I understand that this year is very unusual. Also there is a lack of communication to the buyer on what is going on with the purchase.
    An occasional email would have helped to ease the process because this is a large purchase sight unseen and when you don't hear anything you feel maybe you got screwed over.
    Also on larger kits you should add center boards to the template because the wood flexes . It would helped keep everything inline and squared.

    We purchased our Pergola kit to save the cost of a Contractor building one for us. Our Pergola USA pergola arrived in good condition and was fun to assemble.
    It took us about a day and a half and we couldn't be happier with the results! The wood quality, prefinished to our selection, and fastener quality were excellent.
    And we saved over 50% too! Would definitely do this again and highly recommended!

    The finished pergola is beautiful. Its a wonderful sunshade, and a focal point in our backyard. My husband assembled the kit by himself over two months, and said it was 'mostly' easy.
    One complaint was the mounting brackets were weak, but the finished structure feels sound. I am glad we found your company.

    I ordered the 12x14 Red Cedar Pavilion, It came on a large pallet on Thursday and by Sunday night my son and I had it completed with a little help from my wife and daughter in-law to get the roof up which came in 4 pieces.
    It was a little difficult since the roof pieces are so large (7'x 8'). I would recommend giving the option to have the roof come in 6 pieces instead. But it was actually pretty easy to put together and its well made.
    It's worth the price if you want a something in your backyard that you can be proud of.

    What a wonderful product. We are so happy with our pergola. I installed myself with my neighbor without a problem. The materials are high quality and it looks great.
    The team was able to customize our order to create something a bit unique that combined some of the designs they feature. We attached a fan to the pergola and have fairy lights running along the top.

    Pergola replaced a Cruise cancelled by COVID. couldn't be happier. It's like adding a new room to our house. The product is great. Had a contractor put it together without issue. Hung the canopy with a friend. Easy enough.

    Delivery was pretty easy. A truck came and dropped off the large package as scheduled and we sorted out the pieces in our garage. It took the two of us about four hours total to assemble. It was very straightforward.
    We are thrilled with the appearance of our new pergola! It really finishes our backyard patio. The wood is high quality and smells so good! We love the cedar. Overall, the experience was very good.
    Delivery, assembly, and the product are as described. We are very pleased! Highly recommend. This product is of way higher quality than you will find in a box store.
