It's our go to spot. We love it. Still had a problem with wind and sun, so I made sliding slatted barn doors that can slide to a number of positions to block the he sun and wind. The install took four days with four of my friends helping.
Summary:
Going the 24 ft span using the laminated beams was the right decision. But they were a heavy lift. Had to get the wives to help with that part.
