A: Yes! Pergola Kits USA creates completely custom-designed pergolas and delivers them to you in a ready-to-assemble kit. Cathedral beams, A-Frame design, rail bending, custom angles or length/width are just some of the many features you can include in a custom-built pergola.
A: Yes. Our Classic and Serenity Vinyl models come with pressure treated lumber inserts for the rafters and beams, and 4" x 4" pressure treated post inserts. Our Hampton Vinyl models have aluminum inserts for the rafters and beams, and 4"x4" wood pressure treated wood post inserts.

A: Solid roof patio covers (or pavilions) provide 100% shade. Pergolas provide varying levels of shade depending on the number of top slats you order. This percentage can range from 20% - 90% depending on your design and the time of day. If you order a retractable canopy with your pergola, you can achieve 100% shade with our Sunbrella fabric canopies (waterproof too).
A: In most states we also offer installation services. Customers who have placed an order can avail themselves of these installers.
A: Please check out our shipping & returns page (http://www.pergolakitsusa.com/shipping-returns/) for detailed shipping information.
A: No special skill is necessary to assemble our kits. They are designed to be assembled by the average homeowner. Smaller kits (10x10) can be assembled in as quick as four hours. Larger kits (20x24, for example) can two or more days. If your structure requires footings to be poured, that adds to the total assembly time.
A: For most kits, we recommend two able-bodied individuals for unloading and assembly. Larger kits benefit from additional people.
A: Your pergola will arrive at your location via one of our shop trucks or via independent motor freight courier. Typically our pergolas are delivered in tractor trailer or large box truck. The shop or freight company will call you to arrange a delivery time. Please see this page for more info.
A: We ship our pergolas to the contiguous 48 states free of charge! Certain structures shipped to the West Coast may be subject to a modest shipping allowance.
A: Please see the section titled ‘Delivery Process’ on this page: http://www.pergolakitsusa.com/shipping-returns/
A: We offer six different stains for our wood kits. Our vinyl kits are available in white, tan, and khaki. Our structural fiberglass kits are available in any color you desire.
A: Yes. Many customers buy ‘attached’ or 'wall-mounted' models. You attach your pergola to your home with a ‘ledger board’, which is a length of 2” x 6” or 2” x 8” pressure treated or red cedar wood. We typically provide the necessary hardware to fasten the rafters to the ledger board.
A: Local permitting for pergolas and patio covers varies from one municipality to the other. Customers should check with their local municipality for any necessary permits.
A: We offer military discounts, and discounts to the trade on many structures. Please check our website or call us toll free at (800) 403-9259 for current available discounts.
